This weekend at Vista Hills we held a Chemeketa event to honor students that attend Chemeketa who receive funds from the Clint Foundation. The Clint Foundation is a big part of the motto at Vista. The Clint Foundation is a foundation that supports students who are first generation students at community and four year university schools. Proceeds from Vista help with the amount of sums that students receive who are a part of the Clint Foundation. This event was held to great awareness of the foundation, honor students from Chemeketa, and to hear about what ways the students are going to give back and "pay it forward" once graduated. My job was to meet and great people and pour glasses of three wines that we were tasting that day. It was a great chance for me to learn more about the foundation and meet members of the community. Finally, I got to meet the owners of Vista Hills, John and Nancy, for the first time. All in all it was a great event and I was glad to be a part of it!
