These past few weeks have been packed with make up hours since we are getting close to the end, as well as preparing for the internship presentation. So far this month, I have logged in 27 hours with possible hours to be recorded on Thursday. This has been a fun experience so far. I'm seeing different injuries rather than just should injures as well as doing more in the gym watching rather than folding laundry in the laundry room. Thinking over the past few months of what I have learned from this experience I would have to say I've learned a decent amount of material. Skills I have learned are placement of electrodes, set up of ice and electrical stimulation (e-stim) on the body, how to clean rooms, disinfecting techniques after each patient, how to listen to the patient describe their pain in order to diagnose injury, different exercises used to strength injured area, and last but not least, how to fold towels properly. This will be a tough next couple weeks in trying to finish these hours and find time to write the 4-6 page paper that's due at the end of the term. I think I can do it, (with a lot of stress that lies ahead of me).
